The system of mixing fuel with the atmospheric air in an internally built combustion engine is called Fuel injection. This is the main fuel delivery system used in almost all the automotive petrol engines. Formerly carburetors were used instead of fuel injectors. The fuel injection system forcibly pumps the fuel and atomizes it where as the carburetors depends on the low pressure rushing through the inner valve. The fuel injection system differs with the type of fuel used in the engine. The Engine's fuel / air ratio is controlled by the fuel injection system.

First Generation 1989- 1994

The 240sx is a two door coupe / 3 door hatch back / 2 door convertible luxury car introduced by Nissan Motors in North America in 1988 replacing the 200sx model. They had hatchback body model which is convertible. The 240sx cars have a built in 2.4l inline 4 engine capacity.  These cars have smoother and more reliable engine dependency at times when quick throttles are made. These also provide better operational facilities independent of the climatic conditions. They give high maintenance intervals and high fuel efficiency. Few additions were made to this edition of cars in 1991. External ambience of the car was slightly changed and the cylinder head was updated. The curb weight of this generation of car was 1224 Kg.

Second Generation 1995 - 1998

The completely remodeled car was launched in 1994. This was a 2 door coupe luxury model call. The base wheel of the car and width was increased. The overall length of the car was shortened and the weight of the car slightly increased to 1253 Kg. Automated seat belts and double air bags were introduced. Though the general ambience of the car presumed to be the same, each and every part in the car was redesigned. The model was further more improved with leather seats, automated entry with an anti theft system and a CD player. The head lights were of pop-up model. These were replaced with the fixed model. The company also offered an optional pack of antilock brakes to all the models. In the previous model the fuel tank was present at the rear end, but it was shifted to the front in the latest model.

All the 240sx model cars were made in Kyushu, Japan. The car had a self reputation that made the sales of the cars reach good numbers.
